Mayor's 5k Fitness Run and Walk
benefits Street School with your help
The directors of the Route 66 Marathon are proud to announce a simple and easy way for you to contribute to your favorite United Way agency.
This year a new event has been added to the Route 66 Marathon, which will be held on November 16, 2008. It is “The Mayor’s 5K Fitness Run and Walk." As part of the required information, each participant must choose which Tulsa Area United Way agency will receive a $5.00 donation that is a result of their registration.

Lock In A Student's Future
School Lockers are the Perfect Canvas for New Fundraiser
Local artists create mural on school lockers reflecting program’s values
What’s the combination to your locker?
Do you remember the combination to your school locker? Even though high school is behind us, you’re never too old to have your own school locker – at least in honorarium.
Through the Lock in a Student’s Future campaign, Street School is commemorating lockers to donors. We paint lockers in need of a face-lift into works of art. This year, students from OSU - Okmulgee donated their talent by painting the mural you see in this picture. The mural conveys a positive and inspiring image that reflects important Street School values. As you walk the hallways, you are reminded by the billboard like image of what the Street School program is all about.
Our lockers hold not only a student’s jacket, but their dreams of a high school diploma made possible because of a second chance in our alternative program. You can Lock in a Student’s Future with a gift to Street School and be a part of this unique one-of-a-kind campaign that raises money to fund Street School’s award winning and nationally recognized program.

Tulsa Run
Street School was the beneficiary of the 2007 Tulsa Run, which was held on Saturday, October 27. We sincerely thank Marcia Whitaker, the Tulsa Run committee, and the Tulsa Run sponsors for choosing Street School as the beneficiary.
