Street School Celebrating 35 Years
Giving Students a Second Chance
Kathryn Offermann, 35 year Anniversary Celebration chair, thanks Street School alumni, board members, community partners, and supporters for helping make the anniversary a true celebration.
On September 25, 2008, Street School celebrated 35 years of success in helping teens stay in school and graduate. There were student guided tours of our program’s history through the 70s, 80s, 90s and today, as well as a luncheon with guest speakers. Speakers included alumni John Marlow and Kelley Milligan, Susan Neal with the Mayor’s office, and Lisa Pryor with the State Department of Education.
“It’s important to recognize and say thank you to all those who have helped make this program the success it is today,” said Offermann. “Through the support of many, Street School has helped thousands of youth have successful, meaningful lives.”
This event was a great opportunity for supporters to see the school in action; meet teachers, counselors and students; and tour the school.
Thank you for joining in the celebration!
