2007 United Way Day of Caring

Street School greatly appreciates the time, effort, and resources donated on United Way's Day of Caring. Employees from Bank of Oklahoma, Hogan & Slovacek, NAF Amercorps, ONEOK, University of Tulsa, UPS Freight, Whirlpool, and Williams, came out in force on September 7th.  Volunteers and Street School students worked together painting classrooms and the gym, landscaping, building cabinets, and mounting televisions in each classroom. It was a great team effort. Street School students, the board of directors, and staff can not thank these companies and their employees enough for all their good work.  Thank you!

Student Prom - A Wish Come True - 2008

A Wish Come True was the theme of this year’s student prom, which was held on April 19 at Street School. This all-student prom was organized by the Street School Key Club, which has 13 members along with Street School representatives Sheila Jones, English teacher, and Pat Moran, counselor. Key Club members invested many hours over the week leading up to the dance decorating the school gym for the very special occasion. A total of 60 students participated dressed in their formal attire for a night to remember.

Students danced the night away to their favorite music, had their portraits taken and received keepsake glasses. All this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Key Club that raised money through their school store, as well as, support from the prom sponsors Williams, and R.PH.S., Inc. whose donations helped provide food, decorations, music and supplies.
