Street School greatly appreciates the time, effort, and resources donated on United Way’s Day of Caring. About 40 employees from Magellan Midstream Partners and Tulsa Community College, joined Street School students on September 11th for a very special day. Volunteers and Street School students worked together landscaping, but also playing pool, ping-pong, volleyball, and they even made clay pottery in art class. It was a great day of interaction, bonding, and building relationships. Street School students, the board of directors, and staff can not thank these companies and their employees enough for their generousity. Thank you!

Mardi Gras Magic – Student Prom 2009
Mardi Gras Magic was the theme of this year’s student prom, which was held on May 2 at Street School. This all-student prom was organized by the Street School Key Club, which has 13 members along with Street School representatives Sheila Jones, English teacher, and Pat Moran, counselor. Key Club members invested many hours over the week leading up to the dance decorating the school gym for the very special occasion. A record 97 students participated dressed in their prom attire for a night to remember.
Students danced the night away to their favorite music, had their portraits taken, and received keepsake glasses. All this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Key Club that raised money through their school store, as well as, support from the Rhoads Photography for student portraits, and prom sponsors Williams, and R.PH.S., Inc. whose donations helped underwrite food, decorations, music, and supplies.
