Street School Mission Statement
Street School, Inc. is a tuition-free, non-profit alternative education and therapeutic counseling program whose mission is to create a supportive community for students who have chosen to continue their education in a non-traditional setting.  As a dropout prevention, intervention, and recovery program, our comprehensive and individualized services enable students to grow towards their own potential and become responsible and productive adults.

Street School Philosophy
We believe each youth is unique and has the right to develop his or her potential to the fullest.  Each student should have the opportunity to prepare academically and socially in a manner that will increase self-worth.

Street School is dedicated to providing a positive atmosphere and successful learning experience by building respect between students and adults. Fully realizing that the responsibility for change rests within each individual, Street School provides an environment, which facilitates that change.

Street School’s core guiding principles are mutual respect, personal accountability, direct communication, and community.  Following these principles helps to ensure a peaceful, safe atmosphere, a cohesive environment, and an enriching learning experience. To ensure that each student receives a quality education, each student is required to read and agree to the four guiding principles.
